'Right Microsoft... it's us against you...'

Chipmaker Intel and database giant Oracle have joined the Liberty Alliance Project, a consortium, in opposition to Microsoft, working on a "federated identity" standard to make logging in to several websites easier.
The alliance plans to announce the new members on Monday.
A person who signs on to one Liberty-enabled site, such as a company server or a website, will be recognised at another Liberty site without having to log in.
Sun Microsystems initiated the Liberty Alliance as a counterweight to Microsoft's centralised Passport login system.
The alliance now has 157 companies.
