European e-procurement company Portum has signed a deal to take an aerospace company's procurement online.
The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) is set to take its negotiations with suppliers online with Portum's e-procurement platform to save on everything from its stationary right-up to orders for aerospace technology.
The new system will help EADS procurement workers compare supplier information more efficiently and then finalise agreements online.
The Portum system is expected to shorten the purchasing cycle and prevent the need for further investment in hardware and software.
