
Ariba, has acquired Agile Software, a supplier of Internet-based content management software, in a $2.55bn all-stock deal that will see the B2B network provider taking control of Agile's supply chain monitoring software.

Under the terms of the agreement, each share of Agile common stock will be converted into Ariba 1.35 shares, based on its closing price of $40 last Friday.
Ariba said the acquisition will add to fiscal 2002 earnings and expects to sign the deal in its fiscal third quarter, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.
