
WAM!NET, provider of B2B data storage and hosting services, will supply customers of the BBC's wholly owned US cable network, BBC Worldwide Americas, with access to more than 350,000 hours of archived film footage.

The Minnesota-based firm will enable access to a film and audio library within 12 hours, vastly improving delivery time over its usual overseas courier services.
In a press release, Jill Hawkins, vice president of BBCWA Library Sales, said: "Having looked at a number of potential systems to deliver review and broadcast-quality digital clips quickly to our customers, WAM!NET Networking Services seemed to be the best solution to provide quick and seamless overnight service."
BBCWA library sales group has a client list that includes shows such as Oprah and Sixty minutes.
