American Express is to launch a 'disposable' credit card scheme in an attempt to ease concerns about online fraud.
According to reports on CNet, customers will be able to log on to a secure website and receive a one-time-use card number for online payment. The scheme could help allay public fear about online security.
American Express has declined to comment, but is expected to make a formal announcement at a press conference later today.
