PPR Interactive, the internet arm of French retailer Pinault Printemps Redoute, has invested E5m (£3m) in online retailer Letsbuyit.com.
The Swedish online firm already has a presence in ten European countries, including Finland and the Netherlands. However, the company said it wanted a presence in Italy and France by the end of the year.
Letsbuyit.com lets users search online for the lowest price for products including and computers, stereo equipment and videos.
Last month, Letsbuyit.com announced it had raised E49m (£30m) to fund its expansion plans.
