A spokesman for founding member Sonera SmartTrust, said in a statement: "The new members illustrate industry's demand for common PKI standards that make transactions over a mobile device more secure."

The other joining companies are mobile security firm Diversinet, payment provider, Giesecke & Devrient, mobile ISP, Redknee.com, PKI specialists, Schlumberger and TC Trustcenter, and secure payment firm, Thryon.
