ERP vendor, JD Edwards, is expected to unveil a tool later this month, which enables users to design corporate intranets.

The application, called ActivEra Portal, will allow users of its ERP products to access all internal resources information from a single interface.

Douglas Massingill, CEO of JD Edwards, claimed the most important products over the next 10 years will be time saving devices. He called the millennium, "The era of the Evernet where every company will have to be open 24 hours a day to carry out business transactions."

ActivEra will be formally announced on 21 September and is slated to ship in October.
