Global One has this week unveiled a key product in its IP (Internet Protocol) services range designed to enable IP applications to function over a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
According to the company, Global Intranet VPN provides high-quality access to corporate intranet resources alongside open access to the Internet. It claims to offer better configuration and cost benefits to global corporations with large amounts of IP traffic.
Global One said the system will allow access from a wide range of technologies to make it easy for partners and distributors to exchange information.
It will also support voice-over IP, fax-over IP and multimedia applications such as video and audio streaming.
Global One is a joint venture with Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Sprint.
