Published: Wednesday 20 February 2002
Merseyside Police are receiving training from a Californian cyber-investigative firm which will help them use computers to catch criminals.
The force will use Guidance Software's technology to set up a school for budding cyber-cops, teaching computer forensics and investigation techniques.
The school will be housed in Merseyside Police's forensic investigation unit but will also accept entrants from industry who want to investigate corporate computer crimes.
