So the data storage coy goes bust and it's drives are sold.

Now who has your data, can you get at it for your organisations ongoing daily business (revenue raising) processes.
Can you get at it for your organisations legal 'compliance' processes.
Can you get at it for your organisations 'Annual returns' to the taxation authorities.

And - who else can?

Seems to me that as soon as any 'storage' organisation becomes vunerable, it would be a great ploy to buy them.
Then you'd have access to your competitors business records.
