I think that the 'leading academic makes some very good points.

Technology should exist to support pople to work and live better and smarter. I don't want to live to support technology. Unfortunately, as a society we seems to be rushing down the road to Technology Controlling People - nightmare!!

In an age that recognizes Multiple Intelligences, we should be aware that people who are highly technically aware can have poor social/people skills. Does this make them 'Socially Stupid'?

BTW - 'Normal IQ' (on the Stanford-Binet scale) is 90-1009. 100 is the median.
