a lot of people communicate on a daily basis via the internet, a lot of people plan projects using tools on their computer system, a lot of people handle payrolls and keep records using computers, a lot of people encrypt their communications and records or use euphemisms to obfuscate meaning when on the phone
and the police chief has just realised that some of these people are criminals ?
what did he think criminals did before he had this epiphany? use carrier pigeons, ledgers hidden behind bricks in walls and an abacus ?
