How many bank, etc, employees really NEED a laptop, other than for ego or prestige purposes? I know there are far too many within government and local authority who have laptops that are not NECESSARY.
To me, if a laptop is able to be stolen it must have been left in a vulnerable situation. If it was left then it wasn't really needed and a cheap desktop wired to a served would suffice.
Security??? My laptop has travelled many thousands of miles and on many flights to many countries. I have kept it secure through personal alertness. Those in banks, etc, that need to have a laptop should be charged with the responsibility of security.
