Comment

Having a legitimate copy of 'Master and Commander' on DVD which I play through PowerDVD on an XP machine I was really brasssed off when I discovered that it would not play after the SP2 update had been applied.

I do know why this happened but it should not have and caused me time waste trying to find a fix. Redmond should have considered the angles that lead to the failure. Any claim that PowerDVD is not their responsibility would be to miss the point.
