A good example of the workarounds many organisations perform to avoid comprehensive testing (not just security) of their solutions prior to RTM or deployment.
Public/paying customers are not system testers - the industry needs to stop seeing/using them as cheap quality control.
As long as project directors/managers seek to reduce costs and time to delivery/market, we will always receive reduced quality software.
