"It's just a shame that [Gigabyte] didn't think to put her brain towards something more useful than virus writing because she's obviously very clever." Not.

Apart from the pretty stupid act of leading the authorities to catch you by your own arrogance, Gigabyte wasn't smart enough to actually beat Cluley's comment -that most virus writers are male.

Unless one counts throwing a strop and creating malicious code as constructive argument.

Now she's facing a jail term, she might be asking herself what the point of her crusade was.

It wasn't to promote the idea of more women in IT and I'm sure it wasn't to prove that female virus writers can also get caught.

She could have been a well paid programmer working in a good company. Now she'll be another number sitting in a cell. How dumb is that?
