Hacker leaves Kiwi authorities red-faced over 'Fat' slur

"Playing 'silly beggars' is a criminal offence"

A New Zealand voter has complained after the Electoral Authorities contacted her to confirm her name as Kylene Fat Ass.

Ms 'Fat Ass' - real name Kylene Soar - said she is very sensitive about her weight and the administrative blunder proved offensive.

A spokesman for the New Plymouth Electoral Enrolment Centre blamed the offensive error on a hacker, claiming somebody must have accessed the system and changed the name for a joke. He told the Daily News: "Someone is playing silly beggars. That is a criminal offence."

If caught the perpetrator faces up to three months in prison.
