Pan-Scandinavian online bank Nordea has launched a mobile banking service for its customers in Finland.

The banking services are available to Finnish customers who have purchased GPRS handsets and are connected with Telia's Sonera's or Radiolinja's networks.

Nordea is building its services based on its WAP expertise and existing customer base.

The Finnish mobile operators claim the next generation network is up to speed and that rapid 3G uptake is only a question of time.
