The online arm of Lloyds TSB has been out of action since early this morning as IT staff work to fix a glitch in a security programme.

According to a Lloyds TSB spokesman the security programme is refusing to recognise the internet browsers of some customers. However, he said the bank has no plans to notify customers about today's downtime.
Several Lloyds TSB customers say they have been experiencing problems accessing their accounts since last week, and the spokesman admitted that the bank had been aware of the problem during that period.
