The message continues in the body of the mail 'Hi Check this!' along with the enticing attachment 'annakournikova.jpg.vbs'.
MessageLabs is warning that it has already seen 700 copies of the virus, which puts the attack somewhere between LifeStages and the Love Bug.
Alex Shipp from MessageLabs, said: "We saw the first copy at 13:30(GMT) and now, just four hours later, we've seen more than 700. We are still analysing the code - some virus software picks it up - most doesn't."
He added that the code is obscured to make it difficult for heuristic checks to pick it up.
