FBI investigates AboveNet denial-of-service attack

The FBI is investigating a denial-of-service attack on US ISP AboveNet which blocked customers' Web access for several hours on Tuesday morning.

According to AboveNet's spokeswoman, the attack was conducted more skillfully than February's attack on eight major sites, including CNN and Amazon.

AboveNet hosts the Web sites of nearly 1,000 companies worldwide.
