Does anyone ever think things through?

What about all the millions of OEM installations for which the key may well have been lost or mislaid? What is wrong with linking this to the annoying revalidation (which seems to work fine) each time there is a downloadable security update?

Where are we supposed to get a key reminder from? Microsoft are happy with forcing OEM installations (whether or not we wanted them) with hardware but have forgotten that the software is automatically validated on start up and is not a normal or conventional CD installation!

I wonder what the uptake of this SP will be?
