Vista is slated to arrive... well perhaps it should be slated (dictionary - to criticise unfairly or harshly) coming from MS, but I'm sure that's not what is meant. Is this yet another instance of ignorant copywriters using a word they don't know the meaning of ......... (Ed note. Trust us he goes on and on but in this instance it may be a case of a reader being unaware that words can have more than one meaning. Historically in the military, names were added to a slate that were to be considered for promotion, this is where the word derives from. However, now it is used more generally for anything which is up for consideration, launch, release or promotion within a particular time frame. We admit its roots are in the US but it's use is pretty broad now. Thanks for assuming it was our mistake Fergus but sadly for you that's not the case.)
