Adobe and Macromedia have settled their numerous patent disputes ahead of a trial scheduled for June next year.

The pair have been tangled in an ongoing clash over web graphics programs and video editing tools.

Although the terms of the settlement were not revealed, both companies have received financial compensation in the past.

Macromedia claims to have been awarded $4.9m in May after it filed a suit against Adobe.

Likewise, the Acrobat and Photoshop company claims to have gained $2.8m in a different filing against Macromedia.
