Web advertising is on the increase according to a study published this week.
The amount of online adverts has gone up by 33 per cent since January this year reaching an all time high according to study from Nielsen NetRatings AdRelevance, which tracks companies' online behaviour.
The report found the number of ads climbed to 69,838 last month. The previous peak was March 2001 when the total was 68,458 adverts.
Further figures from US consultancy Forrester Research showed the online advertising market reached a total value of £122m in 2001. This year, the research company expects the automotive sector will be one of the leading contributors to online advertising.
