Instant Messaging (IM) is the next killer app for the wireless platform.
Research firm Evans Data found out that IM has overtaken email as the most popular wireless application. More than half of the 600 programmers polled said IM is their latest passion.
Over 32 per cent of the developers said they are building both consumer and business applications that feature IM.
A further 23 per cent of developers said they are developing internal wireless applications for companies with IM.
