Russian programmer Dmitri Sklyarov is due back in court next week as lawyers arguing the case meet for a pre-trial hearing.

Lawyers are due to file their cases with the US District court of California on Monday.

Sklyarov was the first person to be prosecuted under a new US digital copyright act, after writing a programme that hacked Adobe software.

The trial against Sklyarov and his employer, Russian software firm ElcomSoft, is expected to begin early next year.
