London-listed Emblaze has signed up five European operators for trials of its video on 2.5G and 3G networks.
The Israeli company is not naming the companies involved. They will be testing the system over GPRS networks for the rest of the year.
Emblaze is the company's latest system for enabling peer-to-peer video messaging. The company is boosting the trials as a move to define global standards. It claims the system is open architecture to encourage third party developers to develop multimedia applications.
Formerly GEO Interactive Media, Emblaze joined the FTSE250 last year.
