Online travel firm Travelocity.com is to publish an offline travel magazine.

American Airlines will act as its publishing partner, with the launch of the subscription-only bimonthly magazine planned for September.

Other Web companies to launch offline publishing ventures include eBay, garden.com and Yahoo!

Meanwhile, Forrester Research has predicted that online travel sales will quadruple from last year's level to $29bn in 2003. According to Forrester, Travelocity is the most popular travel Web site with more than eight million visitors in April alone.
