Internet virus protection company, Trend Micro, has started shipment of its enterprise Java security software for Solaris.
InterScan AppletTrap 1.2 is designed to trap any malicious Java applets and JavaScripts at the Internet gateway before they infect the network. The deficient software could steal, delete or modify information and compromise corporate security.
The product can be installed at the Web proxy server level to analyse applets destined for the desktop.
Eva Chan, chief technology officer at Trend Micro, claimed Internet security threats were rising as hacker's tools become more adept at avoiding firewalls.
