Sun is hoping to dominate the ecommerce market with the release of Netscape application server version 4.0, next month.

The server will support enterprise Java beans (EJB), Java server page technology, and the Java servlet application programming interface.

The Sun/Netscape Alliance claims the server now has better load-balancing capabilities and more opportunities to link with applications created using other development tools.
