Volkswagen of America has moved to an email-based system for reminding VW club members to renew their subscriptions.
The company used a system developed by Network Publishing to contact the club's 15,000 members. In response, 20 per cent of those contacted renewed their annual membership online.
The two companies are planning to develop the scheme further.
