Protean helps Rillettes Bahier to tighten up production

By Polly Raymond

Published: 3 November 1998 15:01 GMT

European food manufacturer, Rillettes Bahier, has bought a production management software product from US-based Marcam Solutions to increase efficiency in its manufacturing and finance operations.

Called Protean, the software will be used to cut production costs, speed up time to market and improve investment return at its two production plants in France.

Rilletes Bahier claims the revamp of its business processes will help it to handle the growth in production it has recently experienced and to ride out changes in market and customer demands.

Protean is an object-oriented product, which will work with most of operating systems including Windows NT, RS/6000 and HP-9000.
