French tyre manufacturer Michelin has awarded a contract to IBM and Dassault Systemes to implement software for managing integrated design and manufacturing processes.
The system, called Catia, is a joint development between Dassault and IBM. It will replace Michelin's existing design and manufacturing processes, which were developed in isolation.
Catia will be seated over several hundred workstations and will be used to develop Michelin's full range of products.
