EADS said the key factor in winning the contract has been its collaboration with its strategic partners - HP for IT equipment and Cisco-Systems for network components.
In 2006, EADS Defence & Security - with around 23,000 employees - achieved revenues of &euro5.9bn, with EADS as a whole generating revenues of €39.4bn and employing a workforce of about 116,000.
