For once - full marks to Microsoft for coming right out and saying what their licensing policy will be regarding multi-core processors. One physical chip = 1 processor, regardless of the number of cores.

Let us hope IBM, Oracle and Sun all do the same in the near future. Taking a punt on DB2 is a risky move until they do.
