I really can't follow MySQL's argumentation. Why making comparisons with IKEA - this is really complimentary. Better compare it to a cheap car from Korea. After all, what are they proud of? There's no innovation. Relational databases have been invented long time before, as well as Unix operating systems (and also Windows). It's not about features, it's about the whole thing! Who needs another RDBMS (right: nobody) - they should have done this twenty years before. Is there anything new? Is there any innovation, benefit, improvement? No. Do they make things better? Do they have a vision? No - to be honest, it's all about money. Why did jobs move to India? Aha. Why do they move from India to China? Aha. After all, it's nothing more than a job killing machine - very innovative indeed. Congratulation.
