A bad week for Andersen worsened yesterday with the news that major US client Oracle is looking to take its business elsewhere.
Ernst & Young are the beneficiaries of Andersen's latest defection as companies flee the bad publicity and revelations of malpractice that have emerged since the collapse of energy firm Enron.
Earlier in the week Andersen announced it was to cut 7,000 jobs.
