JD Edwards has appointed former IBM stalwart Robert Dutkowsky as its president and CEO following the resignation of long time boss Edward McVaney.
Dutkowsky was most recently CEO at GenRad - a manufacturer of electronic test equipment - until it was acquired in October 2001.
Prior to that he spent 20 years with IBM before moving to EMC where he served as executive vice president for global sales and marketing.
MCVaney will remain on the board of directors until March 2002.
