Call centre staff: Hated by most, loved by Eyretel

CRM software firm Eyretel has moved into profitability six months ahead of schedule due to customers' continued heavy investment in call centre technologies.

The rise of the call centre - the bane of many a consumer - has seen the company shipping out its products, which monitor call centre performance, to customers in increasing numbers.

For the six months ending 30 September, Eyretel made a pre-tax profit of £146,000 - up from a loss of £2.46m for the comparable quarter. sales rose 28 per cent from £18.9m to £24.2m.
