Rapid deployment for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 release

Microsoft has released SQL Server 2000, its flagship database product, to manufacturing and announced that more than 100 enterprise customers will be going live with the system over the next three months.

The early installation is part of Microsoft's rapid deployment program.

SQL Server 2000 is the first product offering from the software giant's .NET enterprise.
