Microsoft unveils beta version of SQL Server 2000

Microsoft has this week launched beta release 2 of its flagship database product SQL Server 2000.

The beta version contains features aimed at ecommerce companies and established businesses making the move online. It promises database technology and analysis to help customers build next-generation ecommerce applications and services.

Microsoft expects 200,000 customers to test the new version of its database.
