German Chambers of Commerce in $1.7m ERP deal

Ecommerce software provider Unify has won a $1.7m contract to provide an ERP system for the German Chambers of Commerce.

Unify will work with TMG Systemhaus GmbH to install Unify application IHK Verdi across all 83 chambers of commerce.

Ten sites have already implemented the package, which will be rolled out across all of Germany's chambers of commerce by early 2002. The system will support 4,000 users off a centralised Unix cluster and will take care of processes such as registering companies, supplying business information and giving legal advice.

Unify claimed the deal raises its profile in the German business community as every German enterprise is a member of the Chambers of Commerce.
