Baan lands Elcoteq deal

By Sarah Left

Published: 7 April 2000 13:09 BST

Troubled ERP vendor, Baan, has sold a suite of advanced planning and scheduling software to European manufacturing firm, Elcoteq.

Elcoteq says it will use the software to increase its manufacturing capacity and meet customer demands.

The company's implementation of Baan SCS Planner is expected to go live this month. Elcoteq has already implemented Baan SCS Demand Planner.

Unfortunately the deal will not bolster Baan's 2000 sales record. The sale - whose value was not announced - is recorded on Baan's Q4 1999 register.
