Current Drugs launches intelligent database

By John Oates

Published: 8 December 1999 15:39 GMT

Current Drugs is launching the next version of its pharmaceutical intelligence service called IDdb3.

Aside from the actual database, the product also has a portal to allow access to other data sources. It includes profiles of patent applications, rolling scientific news and analysis of competitors' research. Information is also flagged with a 'confidence rating' depending on where it has come from.

Ian Tarr, managing director of Current Drugs, said in a statement: "This means that our users don't need to go to several databases to find information."
