Swedish ERP vendor, Intentia, has announced that its software will now let users access enterprise information from mobile computing devices.
The company has integrated wireless application protocol (WAP) into its Java-based Movex ERP software. Intentia claims this marks the first time an ERP system has been opened up to access from mobile phones and handheld computers.
The company explained that the new technology can be used, for example, by a sales force to place orders directly into the Movex system from a mobile phone.
