SAP targets SME market

By Sarah Left

Published: 12 August 1999 14:34 BST

SAP is ramping up its presence in the SME market by getting resellers, systems integrators and consultants involved in an initiative unveiled earlier this week.

The SAP Agent Programme will provide those who join the scheme with five weeks of training on common R/3 implementations, such as financials, human resources, and sales and distribution.

The Agent Programme will focus on SAP's two core SME offerings: AcceleratedSAP and Business Manager, an online rental SAP implementation developed in conjunction with BT.

UK systems integrators KTP, Hanover Computer Systems and Lynx Technology have already signed up.
