Panasonic has awarded Sapiens a $1.5m contract to create a central logistics system for its European operations.

The project, which will be divided into three stages, will allow Panasonic to track each product from receipt, through the order cycle to final delivery.

The first phase, involving a critical purchase order system, is set for a May roll-out. The full system, which also covers inbound customs and exports, is due for completion by next January.
