Texaco converges on Mitel systems

By John Oates

Published: 29 March 1999 16:08 GMT

Texaco has signed Mitel to install an integrated voice and data system in its 280 petrol stations.

The deal is worth over £500,000 and provides one ISDN line and Kontact box to each filling station. The line will work for phone calls, fax, lottery and credit card authorisation.

John Sheffield, retail and development contract manager at Texaco, claimed the petrochemicals company will get its investment back in savings in less than a year.
